a poem to give thanks

Thank for being allowed to be a friend,

thanks for accompanying me in sharing

The worlds splendor and glamour.

To a friend I write a poem.

a poem to request;

to be give a chance

to lean on and be leaned on

in times of pain and anguish

to be given a chance

to trust and be trusted

in all there is to trust

To a friend I write a poem

a poem to praise

for as your name implies

You are a rose, a sweat rose

Which shine light in people’s hearts

To bring happiness to many

as the stars in the sky

To a friend I write a poem

a poem to say good-bye for now

for parting is such sweet sorrow

but i will have to say goodnight

until we meet again
