Now I Tell A Tale
Of all the tales I have told,
I beg your ear.
For I tell of a quest,
Of a loss,
Of an anguish,
Of a lesson I have learned.
Don’t ask for the reason
For I don’t have any.
Ask for a solution, a hope,
Then listen to the tale.
Once upon a time
I went on to find a friend
I found one so true
Yet I hide not
That to find is not to keep
I preached of speech yet I gave none
So I searched for warmth and dialogue
And I found confusion and conflict
I lost not only a friend
but apart of me that I put in you
yet I knew not how to get it back
how to ease the quilotine
of conscience that befell
so I took blame in you for comfort
yet the pain ceased not
Then it donned on me
I was searching in the wrong places
For true answers are from the heart
That friendship begins inside of me
That I can not work this out alone
So I plead for your forgiveness
I offer my friendship
And besiege for yours
Then seek dialogue between us
For this is the lesson I have learnt
This is the tale I tell
